Day 37: Weaning Off Wisconsin

San Francisco Summary Week: In light of being over a week behind on posting, most of these posts will be summaries.

Day: Catching up after my first two days off at new job. Amazingly because I have a flexible work environment, I’d gladly checked some of my messages during vacation downtime. Learn from this Midwestern employers!

Afternoon: Managed to fit in a run after work! Yay!

Evening: More exploration of my new hood with Ken (so nice to have friends nearby), with a bit of a Wisconsin theme. Hit up the new Mission Cheese (but got the California Plate – Jersey Cow was the fave – thanks to this being belated forgot the actual cheese names – will go back). They actually forgot our order, but made up for it with a delicious fresh salad while we waited. Next stop was Rosamunde Sausage Grill where I opted for the special – Chicken, Pork, & Truffle sausage. YUM. Capped off the evening at my Wisconsinesque divey-fave Dirty Thieves, once again hanging with our favorite PBR-slinging bartendress, Elena, and also some random dude who was wearing a fox. I love this place.

You left WI too soon. You would’ve been a great addition to my Ladies’ Night at Colonel Hart’s we now hold every Monday…only because the Colonel serves $1 tacos and $1 cans of PBR…Light.
