I’m Dreaming of a Tasty Christmas

Just had to share this blurb from the CUESA newsletter. Nom nom nom.

Returning and plentiful this month (weather willing):

Mushrooms, artichokes, root vegetables, Page mandarins, nettles, winter squash, persimmons, carrots, Meyer lemons, cress, grapefruit, oranges, radishes, collard greens, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, rapini, limes, baby lettuces, cardoons, puntarelle, radicchio, sweet potatoes, leeks, fennel, cabbage, kiwi, chicories, salsify, walnuts, clementines, cherimoya, stone ground wheat, dandelion greens, dried shelling beans

Speaking of tasty, so glad I popped by the 18 Reasons Seasonal Beer Tasting Monday night. I’d been really awkward at an event earlier in the night, but I find beer tastings to be “my people.” Talked to a lot of the sample folks about Milwaukee too. Yay. Sampled Anchor‘s Christmas Ale, Lucky Hand (brand new) Cali Common and the (very, VERY good! โ€“ contrary to Beer Advocate) Black Lager, Almanac‘s Farmhouse Pale (plum-infused and WELL worth the praise), and Speakeasy‘s Butchertown Black Ale and Payback Porter. I’ve been meaning to go to one of these events for quite awhile, so really glad I did and will make room on the calendar for them in 2012.
